Software Performance Engineer URGENT NEED FOR SOFTWARE PERFORMANCE ENGINEER TITLE: Software Performance Engineer LOCATION: Southlake, TX. TYPE: 6+ months with strong possibility of extension(CTH) OUR CLIENT: Our client is a Fortune 500 company with a strong 20,000 employee base offering a portfolio of services to companies that include process consulting and outsourcing; application consulting and outsourcing and infrastructure services. As a potential consultant or an employee you are guaranteed to work with the newest and most exciting technologies and services. ROLE: • Establish performance objectives, identify critical use cases, select key performance scenarios, assess performance risk; conduct performance testing. • Responsible for determining software / hardware resource requirements across large and critical open systems; utilizes statistical performance analysis and techniques to validate transaction forecasts. • Utilizes statistical performance analysis and techniques to validate transaction forecasts. Required Skills: • 7+ years experience with open system (Linux / Unix) performance measurement analysis and performance measurement tools. • 5+ years strong development experience in Java, JVM measurement, sizing, and tuning. • Ensuring the identification of high-level performance test scope, timeframes and environment needs. • Establishing capacity and performance/utilization targets and report on overall health of the environment (CPU utilization, response times, memory, transaction/second) to drive procurement and expansion decisions. • Conducting performance test, analysis and produce test reports summary to facilitate go/no go decisions prior to releases. • Experience in Performance Measurement, Performance Test Strategy/Planning and Inspection, Performance Engineering and Tuning and Performance Modeling and Forecasting.
